What Is A VDS?

Using the latest virtualization technologies, Linology Networks can divide a single high power server into multiple similarly powered "virtual dedicated servers". Each virtual server is capable of running an entire operating system, unmodified, as if it were running on the physical server itself. Unlike most VPS servers, our VDS systems are housed in dedicated low-density clusters that guarantee server class performance and availability. Our virtual servers provide a secure and isolated environment that offers the performance of an enterprise class device, at a small business price. Utilizing the latest virtualization techniques, we can offer our clients high quality solutions and services, while avoiding many pitfalls and nuances of some virtual & dedicated environments.

Advanced Networks

If you can dream it, we will build it! Our systems are capable of managing even the most complicated network configurations and demands. For our most demanding clients, we offer the ability to sub-divide a portion of their allocation to create a FireVM which acts as dedicated firewall to protect their virtual server(s). The FireVM also allows our clients to create complex backend infrastructures that mimic corporate lans and wans.

Rather than running out and renting the latest “Host In A Box” solution, we have engineered our network, from the ground up, to optimize performance for every client, big and small.  Mission critical services require enterprise grade hardware and infrastructure, and we have designed our network to be redundant and reliable with multiple fail-over systems for client servers , networking, and storage.

Clustered Storage

Not satisfied with the industry standard usage of RAID10 arrays and on-host storage, we set out to build a highly available clustered storage solution for all of our client drives. Our solution is capable of dynamically expanding to over 1 Petabyte (that’s 1000 Terabytes or ! Million Gigabytes!), and it is capable of handling everything from single drive failures to ENTIRE SERVER failures with no interruption in client services.
